Cytotoxic activity guided isolation and identification of Cordyceps militaris (CM) which was used a folk medicine as antidiabetics, anticancer, endocrine and sexual functions enhancement. Both water and methanol soluble fractions of CM showed cytotoxic activities on the three kinds of human cancer cell line, stomachic adenocarcinoma, hepatocellular carcinoma and colorectal adenocarcinoma
